Setting Up Email in Thunderbird
- Open Thunderbird
- Go to Account Settings > Account Operations > Add Mail Account
- Enter your name, email address, and password
- Click Continue and let Thunderbird auto-detect settings
- If auto-detect fails, click Manual config and enter:
- Incoming: IMAP, mail.yourdomain.com, Port 993, SSL
- Outgoing: SMTP, mail.yourdomain.com, Port 465, SSL
- Username: your full email address
- Click Done
Troubleshooting:
- If you cannot send email, check that your ISP is not blocking port 25. Use port 465 or 587 instead.
- If you cannot receive email, verify your password and that IMAP is enabled in cPanel.
