Creating a Backup in cPanel
To create a full backup of your hosting account:
- Log in to cPanel
- Go to Files > Backup
- Click Download a Full Website Backup
- Select the backup destination (Home Directory)
- Enter your email address to receive a notification when the backup is complete
- Click Generate Backup
The backup file will be available for download once it is complete. You can also use the Backup Wizard for a guided experience.
Note: We recommend keeping your own backups. While we maintain server-level backups, having your own copy ensures you can restore quickly if needed.
